Hunter Education is a three-credit course intended for Grade 10 students. Schools across the NWT have the option to offer the course, and teachers are encouraged to work with local Elders, Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) officers, hunters, and other experts in their community.
The Departments of Education, Culture and Employment, and Environment and Natural Resources developed the Hunter Education course locally over several years, including workshops with Elders, ENR officers and resident hunters from across the territory
